Perth Kilt Run June 22, 2013 - what's in a number?

411 ... just a number - but last night it was the total count of confirmed registered runners in this year's Perth Kilt Run... a great start!
411 ... is also historically the year that the Rome garrison abandoned Hadrian's wall - that great dividing line designed to keep those pesky northern (Scotland) Picts from coming into "England".

1896 ... another interesting number. It happens to be the year that Lanark Mutual Insurance was founded. We are very fortunate to have Lanark Mutual Insurance back again as a major sponsor of the Perth's WORLD RECORD KILT RUN ... as they have done since the first race year in 2010, the year we set a new Guinness world record for most kilted runners - 1,089.  More about numbers in future blogs - but on this 20th day, of 2013 ... we would like to give a special thanks to Lanark Mutual Insurance for once more lending their support!
