Duke of Raleigh?

   On this day, AD 2013, March 1st ... our very own David Eggleton the "Duke of Richmond" has made the journey to Raleigh, North Carolina, country of USA - to the St Patrick's Day race. He will represent the Perth Kilt Run, and the Perth Running Goats Club to the fine people of Raleigh - as they endevour to exceed our very Guinness record for the Worlds Largest Kilt Race! The race takes place on Saturday, March 2 ....and by all accounts is looking to be a grand gathering of kilted runners...certainly of strength to properly challenge our best efforts to date in our fair town of Perth, Ontario (last reported over 1,600 kilted runners registered - with race day yet to go!) As you know, know last year we faced a very good challenge by Perth-Scotland, and only just survived. And now a surprize attack from the south ... we wait for word from the Duke (breaking news on facebook - his sword has arrived!) Fair thee well!

      In other news this day ....Since we had ended our "Early Bird" registration on Robbie Burns Day (Jan 25th), we thought it suitable and right; that we extend our "Regular" registration to end on St. Patrick's Day (March 17th).  The software has been reset now - and awaiting our new friends to join our giant kilted clan on June 22, 2013 in Perth, Ontario!
